Dr. John DeStefon is proud to be serving the residents of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County with thoughtful, personalized general and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. John combines the latest technology with compassionate dental care to help patients of all ages achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.
After earning a bachelor’s degree with honors at the University of Florida in Gainesville he earned his doctorate in dental medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Prior to joining private practice he gained clinical experience treating those in need in public health.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Broward County Dental Association. With the goal of providing comprehensive dentistry in the most effective, efficient, and comfortable manner, Dr. John has committed 100s of hours of continuing education in many areas of dentistry including, cosmetics, endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
Dr. Cook was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland. After high school he attended Florida State University where he graduated with honors with a degree in Biological Sciences. Upon graduation he moved to south Florida and attended Nova Southeastern University School of Dentistry during which he was invited in consecutive years to attend a dental mission trip to Jamaica to help treat those with no access to dental care.
At graduation, Dr. Cook was awarded The Southern Academy of Prosthodontics Award, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry Award, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Since graduation Dr. Cook has worked throughout south Florida expanding his skills and knowledge working with some of Florida’s top dentists.
Jeffrey M. Bartnick DDS earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with honors from the University of Florida in 1976. He then went on to Georgetown University School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 1980. Dr. Bartnick is certified by the National Dental Certification Board.

Dr. Bartnick was born in Winchester, Massachusetts and a South Florida resident since 1965. Dr. Bartnick is married to Kim and they have one adult daughter, Noel. Dr. Bartnick enjoys music, traveling, deep sea fishing, sports, and bike riding.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Dr. Rafaella Correa-Pinto, DMD, has lived most of her life in the U.S. and attended school in South Florida. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a DMD (Doctor in Medical Dentistry) in 2008.
It is customary in South America for patients to reference their doctors by their first name. Dr. Rafaella enjoys dentistry and the rewards that come with providing her patients with a beautiful and healthy smile. She always has the patient’s best interest in mind and will apply the most conservative dentistry possible using quality materials that are safe for your mouth and body. “I don’t just treat the mouth, I take your entire health and lifestyle into consideration.”
His Master’s Degree from Adelphi University was issued in 1979 and he taught for the New York City Board of Education for 6 years before graduating with honors in pathology from The New Jersey Dental School in 1987.
Dr. Blum has been a resident at the Miami Veterans Administration, past president of the Broward County Dental Research Group, and has lectured internationally about patient/doctor communication. He has been practicing dentistry in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area for almost 30 years and is thrilled to be part of the JJ Dental Team.
